Generate Graphic Wallpaper with Midjourney, GPT-4o-mini and Canvas APIs
Configured with HTTP Request, Switch, Wait. Review the connections and setup before adapting this template.
Node categories in this workflow

Icons describe general node roles, inferred from node types. Inspect the parameters for the configured action.
Drag to pan; use + and − to zoom. Reconstructed from the exported node positions; nothing runs here. Dashed lines represent non-main connections. Full node names and notes appear below.
How it works
The exported workflow contains the following configured nodes. Their connections are shown above; inspect the JSON for the complete logic, expressions, and external actions.
| Node | Category | Type | Operation |
|---|---|---|---|
| Midjourney Generator | Web / API | HTTP Request | POST |
| When clicking Test workflow | Trigger | Manual Trigger | See node parameters |
| Get Prompt | Code | Code | See node parameters |
| Get Midjourney Task | Web / API | HTTP Request | See node parameters |
| Wait for Midjourney Generation | Wait | Wait | See node parameters |
| Determine Whether the Image URL was Fetched | Routing | If | See node parameters |
| Check Image Generation Status | Routing | Switch | See node parameters |
| Design in Canvas | Web / API | HTTP Request | POST |
| Get Image Url | Transform | Edit Fields | See node parameters |
| Gpt-4o-mini API | Web / API | HTTP Request | POST |
| Basic Params | Transform | Edit Fields | See node parameters |
Setup
- Download the JSON and import it into an isolated n8n instance. Leave the workflow inactive.
- Connect your own credentials through n8n’s credential store. Replace
REPLACE_WITH_*values with your resource identifiers. - Inspect API destinations, Code nodes, database queries, file paths, and outbound actions.
- Run with synthetic data and harmless destinations. Enable triggers only after checking the actual outputs.
Requirements
An n8n instance with the listed node types and compatible versions. Service-connected workflows may require accounts, credentials, or paid APIs.
Credential types declared in the source
None declared. HTTP requests and Code nodes may still need configuration.

Generate Graphic Wallpaper with Midjourney, GPT-4o-mini and Canvas APIs
We design this workflow with PiAPI APIs and Canvas API with the purpose to produce a visually compelling image with resonant copy to spark emotional connection. 🙌 Wish you make a fantastic generation with our workflow!
Basic Params
Basic Params
In Basic Params node, you need to fill in your PiAPI key which you could check in My Account on PiAPI. Other information you need to provide is listed as follow📝:
- Theme. The theme refers to the topic that you want to talk about when you start your generation.
- Scenario. The scenario text usually describe your status about your feeling.
- Style. The style of the image.
- Example. The text example shown to LLM to describe a style t you want to generate.
- Image prompt. Image prompt is usually about the context of the image that you want to generate.
Design in Canvas API Node
Design in Canvas API Node
We make a final design with Canvas API. You could check the node code to make a template design more efficiently in Canvas. Also you could make various artworks with template library in Canvas. You could modify node parameters to or add more nodes to make more artworks in one role.

Purpose and structure
This folder contains the Generate Graphic Wallpaper with Midjourney, GPT-4o-mini and Canvas APIs workflow. Its executable nodes use code, httpRequest, if, manualTrigger, set, switch, wait. The table and connection map below are derived from the JSON, not an inferred guarantee of behavior.
Setup
Import inactive. Configure your own credentials and replace REPLACE_WITH_* values. Review external destinations and Code nodes before running.
