AI-Powered Research with Jina AI Deep Search
Configured with Chat Trigger, HTTP Request. Review the connections and setup before adapting this template.
Node categories in this workflow
- Web / API
- Trigger
- Code
Icons describe general node roles, inferred from node types. Inspect the parameters for the configured action.
Drag to pan; use + and − to zoom. Reconstructed from the exported node positions; nothing runs here. Dashed lines represent non-main connections. Full node names and notes appear below.
How it works
The exported workflow contains the following configured nodes. Their connections are shown above; inspect the JSON for the complete logic, expressions, and external actions.
| Node | Category | Type | Operation |
|---|---|---|---|
| Jina AI DeepSearch Request | Web / API | HTTP Request | POST |
| User Research Query Input | Trigger | Chat Trigger | See node parameters |
| Format & Clean AI Response | Code | Code | See node parameters |
Setup
- Download the JSON and import it into an isolated n8n instance. Leave the workflow inactive.
- Connect your own credentials through n8n’s credential store. Replace
REPLACE_WITH_*values with your resource identifiers. - Inspect API destinations, Code nodes, database queries, file paths, and outbound actions.
- Run with synthetic data and harmless destinations. Enable triggers only after checking the actual outputs.
Requirements
An n8n instance with the listed node types and compatible versions. Service-connected workflows may require accounts, credentials, or paid APIs.
Credential types declared in the source
None declared. HTTP requests and Code nodes may still need configuration.

Fully automated AI-powered research workflow using Jina AI’s DeepSearch to generate structured, fact-based reports—no API key required!
🧠 **How This Workflow Works**
🧠 How This Workflow Works
This workflow automates deep research and report generation using Jina AI's DeepSearch API, making advanced knowledge discovery accessible for free.
1️⃣ User Input → AI Research
- A user enters a research query via chat.
- The workflow sends the query to Jina AI’s DeepSearch API for in-depth analysis.
2️⃣ AI-Powered Insights
- DeepSearch retrieves and analyzes relevant information.
- The response includes key insights, structured analysis, and sources.
3️⃣ Markdown Formatting & Cleanup
- The response passes through a Code Node that extracts, cleans, and formats the AI-generated insights into readable Markdown output.
- URLs are properly formatted, footnotes are structured, and the report is easy to read.
4️⃣ Final Output
- The final, well-structured research report is ready for use, fully automated and free of charge!
